How does Your Baby Can Read work?

The 5 DVD Set includes a Starter DVD which is the DVD you start with. The starter DVD introduces your child to 22 words and some songs and poems, on completion of one month, you can move on to the Volume 1 DVD. The Volume 1 DVD reviews the starter DVD and teaches an additional 30 words, unlike the starter DVD however, the Volume 1 DVD is meant to be viewed for two months.

Volume 2 picks up from Volume 1 by adding another 50 words after reviewing Volume 1. Volume 2 should also be played for an hour everyday for two months. Volume 3 reviews Volume 2 and adds another 50 words along with more songs and poems finally Volume 4 which reviews all the previous DVD’s. On completion of the series, you can alternate viewing of Volume 4 with the others.

So what's on the DVD?

The DVD's display a word such as a book along with the image of the book, the idea is that on repeated viewings of the DVD, the baby will learn to associate words with their images and help them recognize them, this type of learning is called “sight word teaching, It is also advised that parents watch the DVD’s with their children as it helps the baby if the parent can also match the word shown on screen with the corresponding flash card.
